Precious was one of the very special canine models participating in our 2014 fund-raiser, Doggies & Divas Luncheon/Fashion Show, and he also represented our group at Pet Fest in Old Town Spring. As a sweet-tempered young adult, Precious still likes to play with both people and other pets, but also walks well on a leash and is house/crate trained.  He has a beautiful short, fawn-colored, easy-care coat, and loves to be brushed and petted (his favorite thing is a good back rub).  Though he weighs only about 12 pounds, Precious does NOT have the typical little dog personality.  Not snappy or yippy, he seems to like most everyone and is eagerly waiting to find a new home with a loving family.    

An altercation with a copperhead left Precious miserably sick for several days, but thanks to good vet care he recovered fine, with just a small scar under his chin.  Hopefully he's decided that snakes are best left alone, but Precious is definitely not lacking in the instinct for home security!  If you think Precious may be the right new pet for you, please click on Forms & Applications in the green menu box on the left side of our home page (www.spcaofmc.com) to fill out an online adoption application.   We'll gladly arrange a time for you to come and meet this sweet boy in person.
