We have a Humane Education Program as part of our services to the community.  Below are pictures of children that asked their friends to bring presents for our rescue pets instead of a gift for themselves at their birthday party.  We bring one of our rescue pets with us when asked so the children can visit with it after the Humane Education part of the event.  At the parties below we did a presentation on the importance of having your pets spayed or neutered and used lots of stuffed animals for the presentation to show what happens if you do not get your pets spayed or neutered.  We also did a Dog Bite Prevention presentation that included games for the children.  We use the Be A Tree Presentation.  The children take great pleasure in presenting us with what they have collected. It makes them feel really good to support such a worthwhile cause and helps teach them the importance of compassion and supporting charities.  All of our fosters and rescue pets love getting the toys and treats that the children bring for them.
