Shasta's beautiful icy-blue eyes inspire images of an Iditarod sled dog team racing through the wilderness! Not likely to see much snow in Texas, Shasta is now looking for a new home where people will show her patience and kindness. Rescued by one of our PETS SNAP volunteers, Shasta had probably been on the run for some time and seems uncertain of people and other dogs. At this time, we feel she'd do best in a quiet setting without a lot of other pets or small children. Shasta won't be available for adoption until sometime later in July, as she's been selected to participate in a series of Petco dog training classes. Shasta's adoption fee of $95.00 includes completed spay surgery, and she's up to date on her vaccinations, worming, heartworm prevention and flea control. An additional one-time charge of $10.99 covers the cost of her lifetime, transferable microchip registration with HomeAgain. If you think you and Shasta would make a great team, please click on the arrow icon near the top of the page to fill out an online adoption application. Thanks for racing to the rescue!
