While we're not sure of Honey Bear's ancestry, we think she's mostly Spitz based on her adorable face, size and luxurious coat. She looks considerably larger than she actually is due to all that fluffy hair, and is expected to mature into a medium sized adult around 35 lb. Honey Bear has apparently already suffered considerable neglect and abuse in her young life, but is now living with a wonderful foster family and gaining new confidence daily. She's a dog that's been starved for love and is so grateful for gentle, loving human attention--she'll return that with interest! Her foster reports about 90% house-training success and says Honey is very smart and has learned sit/wait quickly. She's still working on her leash training and the "come" command. Honey gets along great with the other dogs and a cat in her foster family and also loves children, especially little girls. As with all our rescue pets, Honey Bear has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations, worming, flea control and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $125.00 plus a one-time charge of $10.99 for a lifetime microchip registration with HomeAgain.
