Like the lead detective in the "Murdoch Mysteries" TV series, our puppy "Murdoch" is dark, handsome and very smart (plus it's a mystery as to where he came from)! He was dumped on a country road at about 2 months old and rescued by kind neighbors and then fostered by one of our volunteers. This little guy loves the company of people and other dogs and would thrive in a home where he had both. His behavior has been very good indoors for a puppy, though he clearly isn't comfortable being crated for any longer than it takes to eat! Murdoch's photos show his rapid progress in "reverse" time, as his ears morphed from floppy to upright (no, they aren't taped together!). He's learned to play nicely with other adult dogs in his foster home and we anticipate he'd adjust easily to cats as well. Even at this young age Murdoch is almost housebroken with access to a doggie door but still needs to be encouraged to go out when it's raining or dark outside. Murdoch has been successfully treated for sarcoptic mange and is already neutered, as well as current on his worming, vaccinations, flea control and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee for this wonderful pup is just $95.00 plus a one-time charge of $10.99 for his lifetime microchip registration. We think Murdoch may develop the adult looks, size and personality of an almost-black German Shepherd possibly mixed with Black Lab (our best guess).
