Meet Tootsie.  She is a Springer Spaniel and Pointer or Beagle mix that is just 18 pounds.  Tootsie is shy at first around new people but does want to please and bonds to new people in just a couple of days.  Tootsie loves to go out in the backyard and just run around it in some large circles with you cheering her on.  When she is inside the house she is calm and is very content to just lay close to you.  She will need a new home with a fenced in back yard so she can go out a few times a day and get her exercise.  She is walking well on a leash now but is not the kind of dog that would do well in a home where her only outside time would be on a leash.  Because she does not trust everyone she meets right away she will do best in a home with out small children.  Tootsie is very loving and loyal and gives back lots of unconditional love to her human family.  She also gets along well with other dogs.  She is crate leash and house trained, current on her shots and has been spayed.  She tested negative for heartworms and has been put on monthly heartworm prevention.  If you are interested in meeting Tootsie  in person please go to our home page at www.spcaofmc.com and fill out an online adoption application so we can set up a time for you to come and meet this pet in person to see if it is the right new pet for you and your family.  Thank you for considering a rescue pet.  Please spay or neuter your pets.
