If you prefer unique looking dogs, maybe one assembled from canine "spare parts", consider our pal "Dugan".  Based on his short sturdy legs and long back we're guessing there's Basset in there somewhere, and he has a beautiful German Shepherd type face, but with short hair!  The overall effect is really cute and he's one smart guy.  He's now reliably house trained with free access to a doggie door, and is just such a pleasure to have around.  He's a great traveling companion in the car; he looks outside for a little while and then sleeps quietly for the rest of the trip, never interfering with the driver (or getting sick).  Dugan would thrive in a home with other dog(s) to wrestle and play with.  He's been gentle and friendly with kids at adoption days, and shows no interest in chasing the resident parrots at home.  Dugan's up to date on vaccinations, neutered, wormed and on flea control and heartworm preventative--ready to go!    If you think Dugan might be the one you've been waiting for, go to www.spcaofmc.com home page.  Click on "Forms/Applications" in the little green menu box at the left sidebar to get started.  Dugan's adoption fee is $95 and he's worth every penny and more!  Thanks for thinking of a rescue pet.
