If you have a gift for gently coaxing shy animals out of their shells, maybe you and "Blake" could be a great match. Blake was rescued from a hoarding situation before he came to us and has an uncertain and unhappy background. He has come a long way since he came into our Save More Lives Program a year ago this month. To read more about him, click on Blake's Rescue Story in the green menu box on our www.spcaofmc.com home page. Blake needs a calm and quiet home where he can bond with one special person first. Though he gets along fine with cats and loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home, he retreats when new people arrive and needs to further develop trust and social skills. He needs a home with a fenced yard to go out in as he does not like to going for a walk on a leash away from the comfort zone of his home. He was afraid of everything when he first came to us but now is fine with all the normal day to day comon household sounds like the washer, dryer, tv, and radio. He's never snapped or shown aggression, but probably would not be a good choice around very young or noisy children who might startle him. Once he bonds to you in about 7 to 10 days he will give you all of his unconditional love and is just as sweet as they come with all his puppy kisses. He has also learned to play with his people friends now and will bring you his toys when he wants to play. Blake has been neutered and is current on all his vaccinations, worming, flea control and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is only $95. If you think Blake might make a great addition to your family, click on "Forms & Applications" in the green menu box at the left on our www.spcaofmc.com home page. Thanks for thinking rescue!
