While they enjoy rowdy puppy play times, sister "Sassafras" and brother "Snicklefritz" are unusually calm and well-behaved for such young ones.  Trying to get a good picture of a puppy is generally a frustrating exercise in snapping a moving target at the wrong time!  But these pups both sat most cooperatively for their photo op session, get along well with other pets (dogs and cats) at their foster home and ride quietly in their car crate.  They're both current on their vaccinations and have been treated against fleas and parasites.  Their spay/neuter surgery is scheduled during the first week of August, so they should soon be available for adoption.  The owner who surrendered them described them as being a Great Pyrenees/Black Mouth Cur cross, but they don't look much like either breed to us.  We would have guessed more Lab mix, so who knows?  Obviously they're expected to mature into quite large dogs either way, so a fenced yard with room to run would be ideal.  Snicklefritz is currently the larger of the two, though Sassafras has a heavier build.  If you think either of these puppies might be a great addition to your family, please go to our www.spcaofmc.com home page.  In the little green box at the left sidebar, click on "Forms/Applications" to get started and thanks for considering a rescue pet!
