Talk about needing a lifestyle change!  Pixie was rescued off the streets as a stray, where she struggled to survive after multiple litters of kittens.  She almost lost one of her nine lives to an internal infection, but rapidly recovered from emergency surgery in a foster home.  Apparently she was born with her rather odd looking tail bob (which she wags doggie style!) but we think it just adds to her purr-sonality.  When it comes to looks, Pixie's sandy/brown with red coat has both Tabby stripes plus spots to add to her special effects.  She still plays like a kitten and loves to initiate games of "tag" with people by gently tapping on your arm and then disappearing.   If you'd like to open your heart and home to a cat that's obviously seen some rough times, Pixie might just be the one.  As with all our rescue cats, Pixie has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FeLuk and on a heartworm, flea and parasite prevention program.   All this for an adoption fee of $75 plus an additional $10.99 for her lifetime transferrable microchip registration with Home Again.  If you think sweet Pixie might be a good match for you, go to our www.spcaofmc.com home page.  Click on Forms/Applications in the green menu bar at the left to fill out an online adoption application.  Then we can set up a time for you to come and meet her in person.   Thanks for thinking rescue first!
